Ice Oval Exposure
Snowmobile Ice
Oval Racing is quickly becoming one of the most popular winter race
venues in the upper Midwest. It features fearless drivers racing
high technology sleds at lightning speeds. Racing facilities are 1/4
to 1/2 mile long with flat or banked corners. Races are located in
states like Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan and Canada. On average
2,000 to 5,000 people attend each race event. For a few premier
races, attendance reaches up to 40,000 per weekend. Races are
covered by many magazines including SnowWeek and The Winning Edge,
producing over 40,000 copies per month to subscribers. There is also
TV coverage for the World Championships in Eagle River, Wisconsin.
This spot airs on the Outdoor Channel. All of these items bring an
exciting advertising opportunity for sponsors.
Team History
PJ has been
involved in the racing business since his first race in 1998. His
first full season brought Junior 14-15 Championship and the Junior
Driver to Watch award. As the 2000 season rolled around,
Wanderscheid Racing was back to their winning ways. They were
winning many Sport classes, and at season's end, won a few events in
the Semi-Pro Division. The 2001 season was a very dominating one.
Racing in the Semi-Pro class, PJ took most of the feature races and
4 Year End Point Championships. 2002 was the rookie year for PJ and
the team in the Pro Class. Quickly adapting to the Pro Class, PJ won
his first World Championship as well as the Year End Pro Points
Championship. 2003 was no different from the others. Back at it ,PJ
picked up his second World Championship, along with 3 Year End
Points Championships and SnowWeek Racer of the Year. 2004 was both
exciting and disappointing with a photo finish 2nd Place at the
World Championships. In 2005 we took first in USSA Pro Champ points
and 3rd in Pro Open points. In 2006 we became part of an elite class
of world champions. We won our 3rd Eagle River World Championship.
Becoming one of only three people to win the Eagle Derby three
times. We also brought home more points championships with 1st place
in Pro Champ, Pro Open and Overall Points classes in WPSA circuit
and runner up in the 4 race, Millennium Technologies & V-force Ice
Oval Challenge.
